Flexi dentures are a lightweight, comfortable, and flexible alternative to traditional acrylic or metal-based partial dentures. Made from a durable, biocompatible material, they provide a very aesthetically pleasing look and secure fit without the need for unsightly metal clasps.
Best Use for Flexi Dentures
Flexi dentures are a great option in certain situations. For example:
- When the patient is missing one or two teeth and doesn’t want to or cannot have dental implants placed.
- When a patient doesn’t want any metal clasps visible while smiling or talking. Because of the highly aesthetic, translucent gum colour of the flexible base material, we can use this as a substitute for traditional metal clasping.
There are various benefits to a Flexi denture material:
Comfortable, aesthetic, lightweight and flexible
Light weight, translucent gum coloured material adapts to the natural shape of your mouth, providing a secure and comfortable fit with an almost “invisible” appearance. The entire denture base is flexible but still rigid enough to withstand day-to-day chewing and biting forces.
Metal-Free clasping options for metal frames:
Ideal for cases where a metal clasp would be otherwise visible, offering a discreet and natural look. We can combine flexi material with metal base frames, offering a complete solution to aesthetics while still having the modifiability of a metal frame. These are quite a popular option.

highly resistant to fractures and adapts well to the movement of your mouth.
While flexi dentures offer many advantages, it’s important to note that they cannot be adjusted or repaired. If a flexi denture breaks, requires modifications such as relines or repairs, or needs an additional tooth added, unfortunately a completely new denture would be necessary. This is why combining our flexi material for clasping with metal frame bases have proven to be so popular.
